the bodd technique

The bodd technique is a workout that emphasizes form and precision.  The class has it’s foundation in the Lotte Berk method of exercise and our approach offers a challenging workout for the entire body while minimizing stress and strain to the joints.

Bodd technique / "Open Level"

"Open" your mind to a workout of movement rooted in form and precision.  The "Open" class is appropriate for the novice to advanced.  Under the watchful eye of a bodd instructor, each student will receive meaningful corrections and helpful modifications that will make this full body workout challenging while still level appropriate.  It doesn't matter if it's your first class or your have taken too many technique classes to count.  "open" is the perfect way for every body to achieve long, lean leg muscles, a slim torso, a strong back, increased flexibility and a renewed energy!

Bodd technique / "Advanced Level"

"Advanced" bodd is a high-energy, quick paced class for those who are more than familiar with the bodd technique.  Advanced level classes are equipped with varied choreography and increased repetitions, balanced by deep and challenging stretches.  This intense class promises to put your strength, endurance and stamina to the test!

**we strongly recommend having taken 4-6 "open level" before proceeding to "advanced**

 

"BODD FOR COUPLES "

Beginning this fall - make a date to come to Bodd together! Chances are once you get your significant other to one class, he too will be hooked.  Men are always surprised by the difficulty of the technique and astounded by the results.  Many quickly experience the increased range of motion and flexibility which makes marked differences in their golf and tennis games!

"Teen Bodd"

Teen bodd is a 45 minute version of the bodd technique class.  This workout has louder music and is paced to move to the beat.  Whether your teen is a beginner or competitive athlete this class offers an energetic calm designed to increase stamina, build flexibility and strength, improve posture and most importantly have them leaving feeling really good about themselves!

All work is done at the ballet barre and on carpeted flooring using mostly your own body weight as resistance. Class begins with a warm up to get the blood flowing, then we move to upper body strengthening and toning using hand weights. Next are leg and butt exercises and then specialized core conditioning which shapes great abs and focuses on maintaining a healthy spine through balance. The intense stretching that immediately follows the strengthening of each body part is welcomed by warm ligaments, joints and muscles to prevent bulk. The result is a long lean silhouette of grace and strength.
